Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory: FY20 Total 31,033 KG CO2e Establishing Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions targets: Recommended 1.5 degree scenario 2025 target = A 21% reduction on Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025 (FY20 base) Identification of the material Scope 3 GHG emissions in the value chain: Fleet fuel should be the priority focus.
Identification of the potential reduction and efficiency opportunities that may assist Connect Interiors in meeting its GHG emissions reduction targets: Recommended management strategies to be developed into an actionable plan are: Driver safety and efficiency training; Adopting 5% biodiesel blend for van fleet; Exchange diesel van fleet for EV equivalent at end of lease; and acquiring renewable energy certificates.
Environmental positioning statements have been provided above, integrating Connect Interiors’ emission footprint, targets and reduction goals into concise and transferrable statements to be used across Connect Interiors’ media.
In external reporting, Connect Interiors can note that its emissions profile has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol: A Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard (2004) (‘GHG Protocol Standard’). The proposed targets are aligned with guidance by the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi).
